Tanks and refillable pods for e-cigarettes
The tank or pod is the e‑cigarette's liquid container. The e‑liquid is supplied to a coil, also called an atomizer, which heats the liquid when the device is activated. The container's design determines how it is filled, how it connects to the device, and which parts can be replaced.
In this category there are refillable pods for various pod systems as well as the VooPoo PnP Pod Tank. The products are accessories for compatible e‑cigarettes. A replacement pod is not a complete starter kit with a battery device.

Check that the tank or pod fits your vape
Start from the device's full model name and the pod's or tank's product name. A common brand does not mean that all parts fit together. OXVA XLIM, NeXlim and VPrime are, for example, different product series.
Check both physical fit and that the device supports the specific coil or pod variant. The same resistance in ohms does not imply the same compatibility. For a tank with a 510 connection, the coil's power range must also match the mod being used.

Tanks and pods with built‑in or replaceable coil
A pod with a built‑in coil is replaced as a complete container when the coil is worn out. Examples are OXVA VPrime, Vaporesso XROS and ECO ONE Pods. The coil is not removed for separate replacement in these products.
The VooPoo PnP Pod Tank instead has a separate replaceable coil. The container and the coil are different parts. Therefore it is important to distinguish a coil replacement from a replacement of the tank or pod itself.
Coils and complete e‑cigarettes
Resistance, power and e‑liquid
Resistance is expressed in ohms and power in watts. Follow the power range for the specific coil or pod and the device's instructions. The e‑liquid's VG/PG ratio also needs to suit the construction. There is not a single VG/PG ratio or wattage that applies to all tanks and pods.
How to fill a refillable pod
The filling opening may be at the top, on the side, or at the bottom depending on the model. Follow the instructions for the specific pod. Do not use the air channel as a filling opening.
Example: Aroma King Vice AI Pods
The following order applies to Aroma King Vice AI Pods (2-pack), which have side filling via silicone plug.
- Remove the podPull the pod out of the device.
- Open the filling plugOpen the silicone plug and fill with e‑liquid, up to 2 ml according to the product information.
- Seal and wipeClose the plug tightly and wipe away any spill.
- Let a new pod standFor the first fill, the pod should stand upright for a few minutes before use according to the product information.
If the tank or pod leaks or collects condensation
Small drops under a pod can be condensation from aerosol that has cooled. Recurring larger amounts of liquid, rapidly dropping liquid level, or impaired function, however, need to be checked. Liquid under the pod does not automatically mean the coil needs to be replaced.
There is no fixed lifespan that applies to all pods. It is affected, among other things, by usage, e‑liquid and construction. Do not use a damaged pod or a pod that leaks heavily.
Glossary for tanks, pods and vape
- Tank
- The liquid container in an e‑cigarette. Connection, filling and coil type vary with the model.
- Pod or cartridge
- A container for a compatible pod system. It can be refillable or pre‑filled, depending on the design.
- 510 connection
- A threaded connection between tank and mod. Power, resistance and other specifications also need to match.
- Coil or atomizer
- The heating element that heats the e‑liquid. It can be separately replaceable or built into the pod.
- Ohm and watt
- Ohm indicates electrical resistance and watt indicates power.
- MTL
- Mouth to lung: the aerosol is first drawn into the mouth and then into the lungs.
- RDL and DTL
- Direct lung inhalation with more restricted airflow (RDL) respectively direct lung inhalation (DTL).
