E-cigarettes are available as starter kits, pre-filled pod systems and disposable models. The difference mainly lies in how the device is refilled and which parts are replaced.

A starter kit contains a rechargeable e-cigarette with a pod or tank. Depending on the model, the pod or tank is filled with e-liquid, while the pod or coil is replaced when it is used up. The product description shows which parts are included and which accessories are compatible.
In a pre-filled pod system the battery unit is charged and the pre-filled pod is replaced when it is empty. Pods are tailored to a specific system or product series and therefore need to be compatible with the device.
A disposable vape is delivered as a complete device. It is not intended to be refilled or used with replaceable pods. When the device is used up it should be taken for electronic waste collection.
Refillable devices use e-juice. Which liquid is suitable depends on the device, the pod or coil and the manufacturer's instructions.

Pods, coils, tanks and batteries
Pods and tanks as well as coils need to be compatible with the e-cigarette's model and product series. Two coils can, for example, have the same resistance but different dimensions or connections. Therefore check the product name, series and the manufacturer's compatibility information before selecting a part.
Some e-cigarettes have a built-in battery, while others use separate batteries for e-cigarettes. Use the battery type and charging method specified for the device.
