Nicshot / Nicotine base for e-juice
Nicshot has now become increasingly common among vape consumers, as the new EU laws prevent retailers from selling e-juice over 10ml containing nicotine. With the new "Shake n Vape" method you avoid all laws and requirements, buy one or several nicshots and pour the contents into your e-juice and then just vape as usual.
What is a nicshot?
A nicshot, also called a nicotine base, is the nicotine for your e-juice. If you want a larger amount of e-juice with nicotine you must buy nicshots for your e-juice and mix them in yourself since the new TPD laws prevent retailers from selling e-liquid over 10ml containing nicotine.
How does Shake n Vape work?
The new "Shake n Vape" method is very simple: manufacturers can, for example, produce their e-juices in a 60ml bottle filled to 50ml; these bottles are called shortfill. The reason for this is to be able to add a nicshot. If you pour a 10ml, 18mg nicotine shot into your e-juice you will get a 3mg 60ml e-juice. If you want a 6mg e-juice you must remove 10ml of e-juice and add two nicshots instead of one nicshot, or buy a 6mg ready e-juice — so it is already 40ml when you buy the e-liquid.
Nicshot - VG/PG
There are nicshots in different VG/PG ratios such as 70VG/30PG, 50VG/50PG and also max VG. It is very individual which VG/PG ratio suits you; if you are unsure you can always try to find which suits you best, but we primarily recommend 70 VG / 30 PG for beginners.Nicshots Products
Formula for mixing nicshot into your shortfill bottle
10 ml without nicotine + 1x 10 ml containing 18 mg nicotine = 20 ml containing 9 mg nicotine
20mg Nicshot
10 ml without nicotine + 1x 10 ml containing 20 mg nicotine = 20 ml containing 10 mg nicotine
This formula shows how many nicshots you need to achieve the correct nicotine strength.
How to add a nicshot
Here is an example image that shows how you mix in your nicshot to get nicotine into your e-juice. You unscrew the cap on the nicshot as well as your e-juice and then pour the contents into the bottle. After you have poured in the specified number of nicshots, be sure to shake the bottle for 1-2 minutes and then let your e-juice stand for 10-30 minutes.
