After an intense spring, we are now proud to announce that the online store Cigge.se is once again open and accepting orders.
Earlier this year, Eurobrands Distribution AB, which operated the web shop Cigge.se at the time, was declared bankrupt. This affected operations in several areas, leading to issues with purchasing, deliveries and technology.
In February, it became clear that the new owner of the business is NNVEN AB, founded by Patrik Grönberg, formerly employed at Haypp Group.
Cigge.se is a business I have followed and admired for a long time. When the bankruptcy became a reality, I found it very unfortunate to hear that the service and the strong brand would cease to exist. That is why it feels very exciting to have the opportunity to continue it in a new form, together with a competent team.
– Patrik Grönberg, CEO
Also joining the journey are Uygar Duzgun and Ali Omran, both with backgrounds from Nettotobak and later Haypp Group. In addition to their roles in the company, Uygar and Ali will each hold a seat on the board of directors.
For me, it is exciting to step into something that already has a strong foundation. There is room to experiment with technology, automation and new ways of working in practice. It is rare to combine an established brand with full creative freedom. That is exactly the zone where I thrive – where innovation happens in practice.
– Uygar Duzgun, Board Member
In addition to the founders of the new company, two well-known faces have also returned: Simon Paajanen and Dennis Danielsson. Both previously worked for Eurobrands before the bankruptcy and are now full-time employees in the new management team for Cigge.se.
I look forward to getting a new chance to build a fully customer-focused business where we value our customers even more. My focus has always been e-commerce, and now I get to continue that journey with better resources and shorter decision paths.
– Dennis Danielsson, Marketing Director
For over 10 years I have followed the development of the vape category in Sweden and grown up with the rapid product development that has taken place. I look forward to welcoming both existing and new customers to the new Cigge.se. It will be a pleasure to continue working with something I am truly passionate about.
– Simon Paajanen, Head of Purchasing
The new team consists of people with deep industry knowledge, experience from both consumer and distribution sectors, and a shared drive to do things differently. We now bring our combined expertise into the next chapter of Cigge.se.
The online store is now open again and accepting orders. The warehouse is continuously being stocked with new products and orders are packed every day.
What does this mean for you as a customer at Cigge.se?
The key difference can be summed up in one simple sentence: The customer comes first.
We have taken to heart the criticism that came from customers during the turbulent period. What happened is regrettable, and from now on we build our decisions and processes based on what is best for you as a customer – all the way from homepage to delivery.
We hope that the change of ownership will create stability and make you as a customer feel more seen and valued. Our most important task is to ensure that you are satisfied with our range, our prices and your delivery experience.
If you have questions, concerns or requests, our customer service is close at hand via email and soon also by phone.
What changes have been made since the ownership change?
We continuously improve our range and prices based on feedback from our customers. We have already expanded our offering and look forward to continuing to develop it as soon as the opportunity arises.
We prioritise your delivery, enabling fast packing of your goods regardless of which shipping method you choose. We offer several delivery options and will introduce more if demand exists.
We also place great emphasis on ensuring that in-demand products are in stock. As a customer, you should not have to wait unnecessarily – that is why we continuously replenish our warehouse.
What is happening with physical stores?
After careful consideration, we have decided not to open any physical stores in the near future. The reason is simple: we want to allocate our resources to the online store and warehouse to offer a stable and reliable service to all our customers.
We also believe it is important that all adult customers who want to shop from Cigge.se can do so, regardless of whether they live in Haparanda in the north or Smygehuk in the south. Therefore, we see it as a reasonable priority to focus entirely on e-commerce for now.
What happened to my order placed before the bankruptcy?
If you ordered goods before the Eurobrands bankruptcy and did not receive your delivery, you should have received a refund or your invoice credited by the payment provider you used at the time of purchase. Returned goods should also have been refunded.
If you still have not received proper compensation, please contact our customer service with your order number and we will do our utmost to help you. You can reach us at support@cigge.se, and we normally respond to your case the same day if you contact us during office hours.
What is happening with B2B distribution?
Some may know that Eurobrands Distribution AB also worked with distribution to stores and other retailers. That part of the business has now ceased, as Cigge will from now on be operated exclusively with a focus on private consumers.
