What is a disposable vape?

A disposable vape is an e‑cigarette that comes with e‑liquid, battery and coil in the same device. It is pre‑filled and intended for single‑use. Disposable vape and disposable e‑cigarette are other names for the same product type.

Frunk Bar Mesh and Vont Cube with nicotine contain 20 mg/ml nicotine salt and 2 ml e‑liquid. Vont Cube Nikotinfri contains 0 mg nicotine and 2 ml e‑liquid.

The models are available in several flavor variants. Tobacco and menthol are found, for example, in N One Crystal Mesh, fruit and berries in Vont Art and dessert flavors such as Strawberry Ice Cream in Frunk Bar Mesh. The flavor name is shown in the variant selection.

The device contains e‑liquid, battery and coil. The e‑liquid contains, among other things, propylene glycol (PG), vegetable glycerin (VG) and flavourings, with or without nicotine. Frunk Bar Mesh, for example, has 2 ml e‑liquid with 20 mg/ml nicotine salt and a 50 % VG and 50 % PG split.

mg/ml indicates the nicotine concentration and ml the liquid volume. Puff count indicates the manufacturer’s estimate of the number of puffs. A higher puff count does not automatically mean more e‑liquid or higher nicotine content.

How does a disposable vape work?

The battery powers a coil that heats the e‑liquid and creates an aerosol. On inhalation‑activated models the heating starts when you take a puff.

Frunk Bar Mesh and Vont Cube are activated by inhalation and are used without charging or refilling. When the liquid or battery is depleted the device is spent. Disposable use means the liquid reservoir is not refilled, even on models where the battery can be recharged.

What flavors are available for disposable vapes?

There are, among others, tobacco, mint, menthol, fruit, berries, cola and dessert flavors. Here are examples of named variants in the range:

• Tobacco: Tobacco in N One Crystal Mesh and Creamy Tobacco in Vont Cube.
• Mint and menthol: Mint Ice and Menthol in N One Crystal Mesh.
• Fruit and berries: Lemon Lime and Strawberry Raspberry in Frunk Bar Mesh as well as Honey Melon and Blue Raspberry in Vont Art.
• Cola: Cola Lime in N One Crystal Mesh and Havana Cola in Vont Cube.

The names describe the flavor variants, not the nicotine level. The same flavor name may appear on different models.

Do disposable e-cigarettes contain tobacco?

No, disposable e‑cigarettes contain e‑liquid, not tobacco leaf. They may, however, contain nicotine. A variant with a tobacco flavor contains tobacco aroma; the flavor name does not mean the product contains tobacco leaf. Tobacco‑free and nicotine‑free therefore mean different things.

Are there disposable vapes without nicotine?

Yes. Vont Cube Nikotinfri contains 0 mg nicotine, 2 ml e‑liquid and a built‑in 550 mAh battery. The product information states approximately 800 puffs.

The nicotine‑free model is available in six flavor variants: Blue Raspberry, Watermelon, Bon Bon Banana, Havana Cola, Cherry Berry and Creamy Strawberry. The variants are marked with 0 mg.

Vont Cube is also available with 20 mg/ml nicotine. The nicotine version and the nicotine‑free version are separate products.

How long does a disposable vape last?

Frunk Bar Mesh, N One Crystal Mesh and Vont Cube are stated to provide approximately 800 puffs per device. This is the manufacturer’s estimate of the number of puffs, not a fixed number of days.

Longer puffs consume more liquid per puff. How often the device is used determines how many days it lasts. The device is spent when the e‑liquid or battery is depleted. The battery capacity and the amount of e‑liquid also affect how long the device can be used. Approximately 800 puffs is therefore an estimate, not a guaranteed number of puffs.

How many puffs from a disposable vape correspond to cigarettes?

It is not possible to convert, for example, 800 puffs to a specific number of cigarettes. A puff from a vape and a puff from a cigarette do not automatically deliver the same nicotine dose.

The labeling 20 mg/ml indicates the nicotine amount in the e‑liquid. It does not indicate how much nicotine the user absorbs per puff. Therefore we describe puff count and nicotine content separately.

What is the difference between disposable vape and rechargeable vape?

A disposable vape has a pre‑filled liquid reservoir that is part of the device. It is not refilled nor replaced. When the device is spent the whole product is discarded as electronic waste.

A rechargeable vape with a pod system has a battery unit that is recharged and used again. When the liquid is empty you replace the pre‑filled pod or refill a refillable pod. Pods must be compatible with the model they are used with.

What applies to disposable vapes with more than 800 puffs?

800 puffs is not a legal limit. For disposable e‑cigarettes with nicotine the liquid reservoir may hold a maximum of 2 ml, and the e‑liquid may contain a maximum of 20 mg/ml nicotine.

A model stated to have more than 800 puffs therefore cannot be assessed solely on puff count. Liquid volume, nicotine content and other product requirements must also be met.

The manufacturer’s stated puff count may differ between models with the same liquid volume. It is the amount of e‑liquid in ml and the nicotine concentration in mg/ml that are limited by these two thresholds.

How do I recycle a disposable e‑cigarette?

Leave the whole disposable e‑cigarette at an e‑waste collection point, for example at a recycling centre. It contains a built‑in battery and electronics. The battery does not need to be removed before disposal.

E‑liquid

The liquid that is vaporised in the e‑cigarette. It contains, among other things, PG, VG and flavourings, with or without nicotine.

mg/ml

Milligram per milliliter. Example: 20 mg/ml means 20 milligrams of nicotine in each milliliter of e‑liquid.

Milliliter, a measure of volume. 2 ml indicates how much e‑liquid the reservoir holds.

Puff count

Manufacturer’s estimate of the number of puffs per device. Approximately 800 puffs means roughly 800 puffs, not a specific nicotine dose.

Pod

A replaceable liquid reservoir in a pod system. Pre‑filled pods are replaced when empty; refillable pods are filled with e‑liquid.
