Is a new coil ready to use as soon as the pod is filled with Twisted Apple?

No. The liquid must first saturate the cotton in the coil. Activating before the cotton is fully wet can burn it.

Can the refill plug be left open after Twisted Apple has been refilled?

No. Close the plug completely immediately after refilling. An open refill port can cause leakage.
